Westchester Ballet Company's Spring Repertoire performances on April 4 and 5, 2025, at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center drew over 600 attendees, highlighting the community's strong support for the arts. The program featured three student-choreographed pieces, Flowers of Herself by Violet Miser, What About Us by Elizabeth Cerulli, and Experience by Nadine Macaluso. All three ballets illustrated impressive creativity and artistic expression, giving both the dancers and audience members new and enriching experiences.

The program also included a beautiful, newly choreographed Tarantella by Sharyn Korey. This exhilarating and lighthearted piece delighted the audience, as did the new costumes designed by Kristin Costa. Elisa Schatz and Favio Lalvay performed the Lucien variation from Paquita, another piece choreographed by Ms. Korey. Elisa and Favio’s exquisite pas de deux was a preview of the program that will be performed at the Spring Gala on June 11, 2025 at Sleepy Hollow Country Club.

There was great excitement around Act II of our Spring Repertoire program and the premiere of Sabrina Gail Lobner’s Peter and the Wolf. Sabrina’s extraordinary vision gave twenty-seven dancers, aged 8-18, the opportunity to bring this classic tale to life in a spectacular tableau, set to the 1978 David Bowie recording. Kristin Costa’s imaginative costumes brought sparkle and whimsy to a tour de force ballet that we plan to build boldly into the future.

The Chappaqua Performing Arts Center provided an intimate setting that allowed audiences to experience the dancers' artistry up close. These performances not only celebrated the talents of young dancers from across Westchester County but also underscored the company's commitment to making ballet accessible to diverse audiences.
